Capitalism:
I was walking to Barnes and Nobles yesterday to pick up the new Jay Z album and saw a Starbucks that I didn't know existed. I searched "starbucks near" my work address in Google maps and found about 30 stores within a 1 mile radius, and about 15 of those were under a .5 mile radius. Now that's just outright ridiculous. Excessive.

not that i'm completely disagreeing with you, but i bet you can imagine what all 30 of those starbucks look between 7:30 am 9:00 am on a weekday. when i worked in farragut it was a game - pick which starbucks will have the shortest line - try to save time by running to the one furthest from the metro. i bet every single one has a pretty long long. supply and demand my friend.
i wish all their coffee was fair trade. buttfaces
